Welcome to April

Welcome to April. It is understandable why April is the favorite month for many people – it is the beginning of spring. If you live in the colder regions of the United States, you will agree that there is nothing more exhilarating than seeing the trees flaunt their green leaves and the sweet fragrance of flowers fill the air. At last, warmer days are here. And as we emerge from the doldrums and sluggishness of winter, I do not doubt that April will be a fruitful and productive month for you.

With leaves and flowers blooming, nature becomes new again, indicating that April is the month of rebirth and renewal. Our hope at Nigerian Parents Magazine (NPM) is that this month brings rebirth and renewal of hope to our readers. On our part, we will do our best to be the medium of hope through resourceful and insightful publications.

One essential thing in April is the Easter celebration. With all that is going on in the world, it is easy to fall into the temptation of questioning God’s love for humanity. While we may not fully grasp the scope of God’s love, Easter remains a period of reflection. Our utmost desire and prayers in this period of Easter are a worldwide atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Let me use the opportunity of this editorial to recognize the tragedy that happened in Kaduna. On March 28, 2022, shooters attacked a Kaduna-bound train with 970 passengers. The one thing that Nigerians have in common, regardless of where they live, is complete attachment to Nigeria. Therefore, our thoughts and prayers at NPM are with the families and victims of this senseless attack. I am sure that Nigerians worldwide are praying for them too.

Finally, let me tell you what is coming up on NPM this month. First, we will publish our interview with Dr. Iheoma Iruka in a few short days. She is the Founding Director of the Equity Research Action Coalition, a Research Professor of Public Policy, and a Fellow Frank Porter Graham (FPG) Child Development Institute. I urge you to look out for this scintillating interview and accompanying videos on our website and social media platforms.

This month, we have also added a new page on our website – The Business Profile page. I urge you to take advantage of this new page to promote your business. Please send us an email about your business to editor@nigerianparents.com.

Finally, may I once again urge you to support NPM. You can collaborate in many ways with NPM. For example, we offer you the opportunity to advertise your business on NPM at a competitive rate. You can also visit our NPM store at https://nigerianparents.com/shop/. Most importantly, keep the letters and suggestions coming.
