We did it! After months of fears and uncertainties, we made it to the month of December together. To say that things have not been easy since the pandemic hit would be an understatement. We’ve had to find new ways of doing things – proof of our indomitable human spirit. The question we are all asking is: Will we ever get back to normalcy? Some experts warn that we may never fully get back to our old ways of doings things. My prayer is that we normalize the good things we have learned as we get back to the things that were always good.
Through it all, we have also learned that there will always be things beyond our control. What matters most now is how we react in these times of adversity. So far, we have done well. Let us continue to do the right things. With the good news emerging about vaccines, there is light at the end of the tunnel. But we must stay the course. We must continue to be careful, follow the recommended protocols and listen to our healthcare professionals.
My next Editor’s Note will be in January 2021, and I am excited. Let me assure you that the New Year will usher in our improved engagement with our readers. In the meantime, I would ilke to use this opportunity to thank the indefatigable Nigerian Parents Magazine (NPM) team. When you talk about a dream team, they embody all of the best qualities – resilience, optimism, hardwork, and experience. Together, we will go into the New Year with new expectations and renewed optimism for NPM.
This month, we will publish the second part of the interview with Okey Ndibe. So far, we have received positive feedback from across world regarding this interview. We also have other entertaining conversations coming up in January 2021. For example, NPM will interview Prince and Ike Nnah, the brothers who are changing the healthcare industry in Massachusetts and across the United States with their company IntelyCare, one of the fastest-growing companies in Massachusetts.
Also happening this month is the launch of our much-anticipated e-commerce page. Our loyal NPM audience will finally be able to purchase brand merchandize on our website. We hope that you will patronize NPM and show your pride as a Nigerian parent or simply as a Nigerian. These high-quality items (t-shirts, hoodies, hats, coffee mugs, towels and many more) will make excellent holiday gifts for your loved ones.
I always end my Editor’s Note by asking you to visit our website at www.nigerianparents.com and let us know how we can be better or do better and be sure to tell us about a Nigerian who has influenced your life positively.
