Welcome to January 2022! On behalf of Nigerian Parents Magazine (NPM), I wish our readers around the world a happy and prosperous new year. To say that that the past few years have been challenging is an understatement. I hope that 2022 brings good fortune and good tidings.
The beginning of the year is always an exciting and optimistic time. We make new plans and set goals for the next 365 days. This time last year, we all hoped that entering 2021 would be the magic bullet for all our problems. We expected that COVID-19 would be wholly defeated, and we would return to life as we knew it. Many of us thought that COVID-19 had taught the world to solve humanity’s problems together. Although this has not been the case, the human spirit is resilient and will continue to press on; so, raise your glass and toast to the New Year.
The New Year is a time to embrace new challenges and ideas, make resolutions, and set goals. But while we do so, let us challenge ourselves this year, not to be our most rigid self, but to seek ways to be relevant in the mission to help humanity. In addition, as Nigerian parents, let us find ways to listen more to our children and find time to teach them the games we played as children. We indeed have much to learn from these young ones.
The New Year is also a time to renew commitments. Therefore, I want to use the opportunity to reaffirm, once again, that at NPM, we have crossed the Rubicon and will never relent in our commitment to bring you an excellent reading experience. I also want to use the opportunity of the New Year to express profound gratitude and appreciation to our valuable readers, contributors, and partners for all the roles you have played collectively and individually in making our growth rapid and beyond our wildest imagination. You made 2021 an excellent and inspiring year. Therefore, we will enter the new year with good hope and optimism, knowing that we can count on you for continued support and growth.
Beginning this January, we have exciting articles coming up on NPM. For now, we invite you to take a few minutes to share your New Year’s resolution(s) with other readers and us. We also invite you to share ways to improve NPM as a Nigerian family magazine.
