On behalf of Nigerian Parents Magazine (NPM), I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season. Without a doubt, 2020 has been a difficult year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, children out of school, and separation from friends and families. However, through it all, we have persevered. Although this Christmas will not be like the ones we have celebrated in the past, we must nevertheless be grateful, knowing that there are many more to come. The spirit of the season must endure, even in the midst of trials and tribulations.
It is important for us to recognize that now is not the time to let down our guard. We are not out of the woods yet. Obviously, the world is beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of vaccines; however, we entreat you to resolve not to be like the proverbial tortoise who asked his approaching rescuers to hurry up after he had already spent many years in the trench. As we get ready to begin 2021, it is our hope at NPM that you will have a prosperous and fruitful New Year. We want you to start the year with renewed optimism and hope, as we will at NPM.
Our best advice for the New Year is that you make a conscious decision not to allow events beyond your control to bring you down. Go forward into the New Year with boldness and courage.
From the team at NPM, we wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
